WELCOME TO ELIASSEN RORBUER IN HAMNØY - THE OLDEST fishermen’s cabin camp in the Lofoten Islands. Enjoy fantastic scenery, peace and quiet, midnight sun, northern lights, storm or calm - the genuine Lofoten atmosphere. The camp is situated in wild and wonderful western Lofoten, at Hamnøy in the borough of Moskenes. We offer overnight accommodation in traditional fisherman’s cabins (rorbu) that were formerly used as lodgings for visiting fishermen from all over Norway during the annual winter cod fishing seasons. The oldest of our rorbu cabins date back to 1890, and all 19 of them have been painstakingly restored and adapted to suit the needs of today’s international tourism. The rorbu cabins have one or two bedrooms, a living room and kitchenette, and a bathroom and shower. Most of them have a fantastic view of the Vestfjord, the magnificent Reinefjord and the jagged mountain formations. We rent out cabins, rooms, motor- and rowing boats, bikes. We can organize your courses & conferences and outdoor activities. There is wireless internet in all our cabins. THE ELIJAZZEN FESTIVAL This annual Feelgood Jazzfest will take place in Hamnøy, Lofoten, the first weekend on May, and is intended to be a tribute to the wild and wonderful Lofoten countryside and culture, together with the involvement and spontaneous creativity that all of us feel from just being here.
